Axia Digital Delivers a Dedicated Bilingual Platform for The Heritage Council
Axia Digital was delighted to attend the official launch of the new digital solution for the Museum Standards Programme for Ireland at Croke Park, Dublin, on 28 September 2026. The event brought together Ireland’s museum community and celebrated organisations achieving or maintaining MSPI accreditation.
Managed by the Heritage Council, MSPI supports recognised standards across governance, collections care, visitor services and management. Axia Digital’s bilingual platform replaces processes previously managed through paper records and shared SharePoint folders with one dedicated digital environment.

The MSPI login page provides access in Irish and English
“What impressed me most was that attendees see MSPI not simply as an accreditation exercise, but as a practical tool for managing their museums and collections. We are proud to have delivered the digital solution for the Heritage Council.”
Richard Etheridge, Managing Director, Axia Digital Ltd
Inside The MSPI Digital Solution
The dashboard gives each participating museum a clear view of its position within the programme. Benchmarking, Interim Accreditation and Full Accreditation are brought together in one place, with progress indicators, key dates and direct access to the relevant forms, meeting records and reports.

The First Assessment Form guides museums through every part of the standard, showing questions, evidence requirements and progress across each section before submission for assessor review.

A dedicated resources area links practical guidance and factsheets to the relevant questions, helping participants understand what is required and apply good practice.
